🗺️ The Plan (Follow This Exactly)

⏰ Morning (Start Time: 10:00 a.m.)

• Park here: Parking is free and there will be attendants to guide you. Get there early for the closest spots.
• Do this first: Catch the gate show and welcome when they first open at 10:15 a.m.)
• Don’t miss: Puppies of Penzance—an excellent dog show that all members of the family will enjoy!

👉 Mom tip: Pick 1-2 shows that you definitely want to see and plan your schedule around those. It’s too overwhelming to try to catch every show from start to finish, but you’ll see plenty just by walking around and stopping for a few minutes at each stage.

🍴 Lunch Plan

• Timing: Try to get your food order in before the lunch rush to avoid long lines.
• What to order: Bloomin onion is delicious, and the turkey legs are a huge hit!

🎯 Afternoon Activity

• Head to: Vendors, games, and rides
• What kids will love: Kids Cove and the petting zoo
• How long to stay: As long as you have the energy for! They close at 6 p.m.

👉 Mom tip: Bring cash! Most vendors take cards but rides and games are all cash only. Do a sweep around to pick your favorites, otherwise it gets expensive fast!

👜 What to Bring

• Costumes! People interact with you, and kids sometimes get trinkets from attendees and staff if they dress up.
• Rain jacket (it’s open rain or shine except for in extreme weather)

🚗 Logistics (Read This Before You Go)

• Parking: Free
• Bathrooms: Real bathrooms are right at the entrance gate, but there are tons of porta potties throughout (and the porta potties also have changing tables, they’re just outside).
• Weather backup plan: We went in the rain and it was doable until it got really heavy. Keep an eye on the weather and if it looks terrible all day, maybe postpone. There’s not really anything you can do indoors.

• What I’d do differently: Go in a costume! We dressed up our son but I didn’t have my act together enough to put a costume together for myself, and I stuck out like a sore thumb!
