One of the most important things to know (and something that differs from a lot of my other weekend plans), is that a Savannah Bananas game requires a lot of advanced planning.

🗓️ Selection Show

When: Fall before the following year’s season (the next one is on October 15, 2026)
What: This will tell you the cities and the dates of each game in the upcoming season
How: It’s likely that they will announce instructions for purchasing 2027 tickets at or shortly after the Selection Show. Last year, they opened lottery applications the night of the Selection Show and closed them a few weeks later.

👉 Mom tip: Join the ticket interest list now. Then you’ll be notified about future updates, including scheduling and lottery information.

🎟️ The Lottery

There is usually a lottery system in place to request tickets to most games.
For the 2026 Gillette Stadium shows, we had to enter a lottery for the chance to then buy tickets at a later date. I entered the lottery in October 2025 and was notified that I was selected to purchase tickets in March 2026 (for an August 2026 game).
If you’re selected for a lottery, you’re usually given a specific time window to log on and purchase tickets. It doesn’t 100% guarantee that you’ll get tickets.
At our location, they had different priced zones that you could choose from, rather than selecting individual seats. There were two different $40 zones and a $60 zone.

⏰ Pregame

Games have a lot of pregame entertainment, even before you get into the venue. There are player appearances, shows, and more.
If you choose to participate in the pregame fun, be aware that it can get absolutely packed, and it adds several hours to an already long day. Make sure you hydrate and make a plan for meal breaks!

👉 Mom tip: Check the know before you go page for your specific venue in advance. We had to book parking online (for $60) and I almost didn’t realize beforehand.

⚾️ The Game

Head to: Your seats as early as you can. There are competitions, dancing mascots, and other performances that are all part of the experience, and you won’t want to miss them!
What kids will love: The music and dancing, the energy is so awesome!
My favorite: The baby race and the different rules.

👜 What to Bring

A stadium approved bag (if this applies to your venue—I had to bring a clear 12x12 bag because diaper bags weren’t allowed)
Water bottle for kids (empty)
Small snacks
Change of clothes
Sunscreen and sunglasses
Several different activity options if you have little kids
Banana gear or merch if you have it! We didn’t and I felt like we were missing out.
Headphones or earplugs—it gets super loud!

👍 Go if: You have bigger kids who either like baseball or would be entertained by this kind of show
👎 Skip if: You have little ones who you know won’t be able to sit still for hours
⭐ Best for: Families with adults who are actually interested in the game
